First Festival Guitarist Narciso Yepes in his hometown

The director of the festival is the flamenco guitarist Carlos Piñana
The figure of Narciso Yepes is of great relevance in the history of Spanish guitar worldwide. And any recognition of his contribution to this six-string instrument, or ten in his case, will always be positive for culture in general and music in particular.
During 34 years, a festival dedicated to Narciso Yepes has been held in Andorra, but now it is in his hometown, in Lorca, where a festival commemorates the guitarist and all his legacy.
By the hand of the flamenco guitarist Carlos Piñana, as director of this festival, from Saturday 4th March to Saturday 11th March, several concerts, conferences and exhibitions will be held to complete an interesting program. All this in Lorca, hometown of Narciso Yepes.
PROGRAM:
Saturday, March 4th, at 7pm, opening of the festival and delivery of the Narciso Yepes prize.
Later at 8 pm, concert by Doris Orsan (violin) and Johannes Tonio Kreusch (classical guitar), both from Germany.
On Sunday, March 5th, at 7pm concert of guitar duo performed by the Italians Paolo Devecchi and Salvatore Seminara. They will play with Alhambra guitars, concretely with a Vilaplana NT Series with cedar top and with a Vilaplana NT Series spruce top.
On Thursday, March 9th, at 5 pm, opening of the exhibition by Alhambra Guitars and accessories for guitarists of Royal Classic. An exhibition that will be open to the public on Friday, March 10th and Saturday, March 11th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Subsequently, at 7pm, a conference on materials and accessories for guitarists will be held by Juan Grecos, Director of RC Strings. In addition to a flamenco guitar concert by the students of the Conservatory of Music of Murcia "Manuel Massotti Littel".
On Friday, March 10th at 8 pm will be a concert of flamenco guitar by the brothers Juan Carlos and Julio Alberto Parra Sánchez from Lorca (Murcia).
Concluding with the festival, on Saturday March 11th, at 8:30 pm, the closing concert will be held by classical guitarist Andrea Vettoretti and the guitar and bandoneon duo formed by Carlos Pons and Orlando di Bello.
It should be noted that Carlos Pons plays with an Alhambra guitar model Vilaplana NT Series.
All the concerts are with free entrance until the capacity wil be completed.
