Alhambra: Official Inditex Supplier through Zara Home
Throughout its history, Alhambra has treasured a series of milestones that speak with their own voice and reflect with great clarity what we are and where we are heading.
A phone call we received last summer put us on the way to one of those milestones that make us proud as a company and comfort us as a team because it confirms that we are moving in the right direction.
The call came from the Inditex group, and they contacted us to propose us to be part of an innovative project that under the name 'Music Collection' they wanted to launch at Christmas in a selection of the best Zara Home stores in Europe as well as in their online store.
An exceptional assignment
The commission consisted of developing an exclusive model of Spanish guitar in our artisan workshops to make it the main protagonist of this innovative project that opens a product line in its stores unpublished until now.
Among all possible instruments, Inditex has chosen the Spanish guitar. Not in vain is it one of the most traditional and authentic emblems of the Spanish brand in the world. And among all possible companies, we are proud to say that they chose us, as they said, because they knew that we were an international reference in the handcrafted construction of the Spanish guitar.
Environmental and Social Commitment
We accepted the challenge with great enthusiasm and the project is now a happy reality.
The Alhambra guitar offered for sale by Zara Home is called Nature Abeto and scrupulously complies with the highest levels of social and environmental sustainability. In order to join Inditex's list of official suppliers, we had to pass, in record time, a rigorous process of certifications and audits.
However, we already had very high quality standards at all levels.
We have traditionally been a company with a high degree of environmental awareness and social responsibility. Long before the term Corporate Social Responsibility was coined, this way of understanding business activity was already part of our philosophy and our day-to-day business.
Nature Abeto: A Sustainable Reality
The custom guitar we have made for the Inditex group is mainly made of natural, untreated spruce wood from Central Europe which, due to its proximity to Spain, allows us to reduce the carbon footprint with respect to other possible suppliers located in the USA, Canada or Central Africa. No solvent-based dyes have been used in its finish and only a much more sustainable type of water-based varnish has been used.
Other features to highlight are that the fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood -a very hard wood that offers very elegant sound nuances- and that it is delivered with a padded case and a vegan leather shoulder strap.
Availability in Emblematic Stores
In addition to appearing on the online sales page, our guitar is on display and for sale in a selection of eight of the best stores that Zara Home has in Europe. As of this Christmas, it is on display in emblematic shopping areas in France (Paris), the Netherlands (Rotterdam), Portugal (Lisbon), Italy (Milan), Greece (Athens). In Spain they are in Madrid -Plaza de España and Hermosilla- and in Barcelona -Paseo de Gracia-.
Each challenge entails a great responsibility. But our experience, our values and the quality of the human team that is part of Alhambra, makes us prepared to reach milestones like this. Every day, each one of us contributes the best we have to make, among other things, the best of what we do.
