Last Tuesday, 30th March, we welcomed Daniel Minimalia at our Alhambra Guitars facilities in Muro de Alcoy and he saw personally how our guitars are made and talked to our luthier Javier Mengual.
In February, the guitarist, composer and multi-instrumentalist won the Latin Grammy for best instrumental album of the year with 'Terra' (2020). This album was recorded with his 3 F CW E1 guitar.
That same year, at the end of January, he also celebrated a new award: the Hollywood Music Award in the category of best Latin pop/rock song for 'Flor de leyenda'. A prize he had already won in 2015 for 'Olas del Sur'.
In Minimalia's musical style, traditional Galician music has had a great influence, but we can also find different influences such as flamenco folk, progressive rock, blues or classical music.
Daniel is a humble, hard-working and very creative person, with a very clear vision about the music he wants to create. Now, after his visit to Alhambra Guitars, two more Alhambra guitars will be accompanying him in his new projects: the Crossover CS-3 CW E8 model and the acoustic AD-SR E9 model.
