Ella Baila sola, Marta and Marilia, one of the most important and influential Spanish duos that marked a trend in the 90s, have announced their return to the stage to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their formation.
The Starlite Festival will be the chosen venue for the group's comeback, which will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the duo's debut album and will meet their audience again 25 years later, at the Starlite Catalana Occidente Auditorium, on 18th June.
For their tour Marta has trusted in Alhambra Guitars and will play with the Jumbo AJ-SR E1 model, an instrument of large dimensions and with an aesthetic and sound concept that surprises from the first moment, undoubtedly one of the best-selling ones.
Awards and works
Marta Botía and Marilia Andrés became the great sensation of 1996 thanks to the undeniable chemistry between their voices, their warm and acoustic sound and, above all, great compositions. Their first album sold more than a million and a half copies in Spain and Latin America. This was followed by five years of successful tours and two more studio albums, EBS (1998) and Marta y Marilia (2000).
They received many awards during their musical career, such as a Latin Grammy nomination for best group, Ondas Awards, 7 Platinum discs in Spain and Gold discs in Latin America.
